Spinach & Cheese Damper

Spinach & Cheese Damper



  • 1 3/4 cups self-raising flour
  • 25g salted butter
  • 30g baby spinach
  • 1/2 cup milk, plus extra for brushing
  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, grated (plus extra for top)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  1. Preheat oven to 180C.

  2. Add flour, butter and salt into food processor. Mix for 20sec or until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.

  3. Add spinach, milk and cheese and process until mixture comes together. If sticky, add more flour.

  4. On a floured surface, divide dough into 8 and knead each piece until smooth.

  5. Shape into balls and brush with milk. Sprinkle with cheese.

  6. Bake for 12-14 mins.
Serve warm with butter.
